More cuteness. Yes, it is possible.

One morning while I was getting Chloe ready for daycare, I said, "come on, Chloe Monster." David and I used to call her that a lot when she was much younger (think 6 to 12 months), and I'm not sure why I did it. Well, she said, "Chloe Monster?" I said, "yep." She said, "Mommy Monster?" I said "yep, and Daddy Monster." Then she said, "NO. Daddy Horsey." I have no idea why that happened.

We were in the car one morning, and we heard a train coming. Chloe perked up and said, "choo choo!" I kept strapping her in, and we talked a little about the train. Then the train blew its whistle again, and Chloe said, "choo choo! In my butt!" Whoa. I was VERY confused and a little disturbed. I asked her a couple of times what she said, and it was the same thing every time. When we got to daycare, I told MeMaw the story, and she laughed. It turns out, the kids all play train, and they grab each other's hips. We're sticking to that explanation.

Chloe can be pretty mean to David. She doesn't let him kiss her. He gets kisses when we leave her at daycare and at bedtime. Any other time is not at all guaranteed. She never wants to go to him after waking up, and she frequently rounds her back and turns away from him while making an irritated sound ("uuuuuugggggggghhhhhhh"). She also hates it when he plays with her hair (that is usually the cue for the turn away and irritated sound.) But now, she has started to tell him to leave her alone. She says, "my lone! My lone!" So, although it sucks for David, I get lots of enjoyment out of it. I really like when she says, "my lone!" Cute, cute.

  1. Jackson loves Ryan more than me. If he knows he's (Ryan) home, we will not let me pick him up out of his bed after a nap.
